Happy New Membership Year!
Celebrate 2012 with new friends, gardens, workshops, projects, videos and more.
Come Grow with us! We are a network of high altitude gardeners sharing information about the challenges of growing food in these mountains we love. Growing food in our environment isn’t easy, but locally grown food is the best way to put healthy food on the table. We are promoting sustainable, healthy lifestyles appropriate for high altitude communities. Please consider expressing your support for our activities by becoming a member of The Harvest Center. The annual membership fee is $10 per person. Download the 2012 HC Membership form.
The Harvest Center is a Colorado nonprofit corporation. The IRS certified us as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2010. Grants from Livewell Colorado through Teller County Public Health, Pikes Peak Community Foundation, and Colorado Garden Show have enabled us to build a dome greenhouse and community gardens. Our wonderful volunteers enable us to serve the community with no paid staff nor the usual costs of maintaining an office. In 2011 we donated 477 pounds of fresh produce to the Community Cupboard of Woodland Park. Our workshops and information exchange enabled many individuals and families increase production from their personal gardens.
